Arnold (Max Riemelt) is a dreamer who thinks he is an alien. Every day he works on an aircraft that is supposed to bring him back to his home star. After the last unsuccessful test, the village outsider is referred to the psychiatric clinic, which neither his worried mother Ida (Katja Riemann) nor her clumsy doctor friend Emil (Armin Rohde) can prevent. There Arnold messes up a young doctor’s hormone balance. A sounding German star cast unites the tragicomedy by Hardi Sturm, which uses mild means to promote tolerance and the power of magic. The fairytale-like drama starts two romances and is based on American models such as „Starman“.
